This week two RVBA players, Rachel and Sarah Thomas were competing at the Leicester Open.

Rachel Thomas had a very successful weekend reaching the semi finals in the singles event and winning the Mixed doubles.

In singles Rachel beat Chambers (Yorkshire) and Coyle (Ireland) before losing to Lewcsynska (England).

In mixed Rachel and her partner Tom Armstrong, who are both at Loughborough University reached the semis where they beat Wales International James Phillips and Holdaway his Avon County partner to set up a final against experienced second seeds from England Plant and Cooper.

The mixed final was won in straight sets.
